Abstract :
The FFT plays an important role in the modulation and demodulation of OFDM system. To meet the requirements of FFT in an OFDM system, the key techniques of the implementation of FFT based on FPGA is discussed in this paper. After the comparison among three typical butterfly units, the one with pipeline processing structure is introduced. Then a recursive structure of FFT on Radix-2 single butterfly is realized. This structure greatly reduced the amount of hardware resource, while an accepted processing speed is guaranteed.
