Title :
An approach to resolving feature interaction in advanced intelligent network services
Abstract :
The authors examines aspects of feature interaction in relation to the development of IN applications within the framework of the Bellcore AIN (release 1) and the emerging CCITT/ETSI Capability Set 1 architectures. Current provisions only allow a single point of control for IN features. This is inadequate as it does not permit services to be distributed between service control points and limits the ability of network providers to acquire features from different sources. The author proposes simple negotiation technique for the control of call processing events which can be used to resolve a whole class of feature interactions
