  • Abstract
Quality assessment is an important step in maps producing, but the traditional approach of score-diminution for defect used in assessing the quality of maps has many inherent defects and leads to coarse and trustless results. In contrast to the traditional approach of score-diminution for defect, fuzzy comprehensive assessment approach takes a complete account of all influential factors and makes full use of the quality information, so it can get a more accurate assessment result. However, current researches on using fuzzy assessment method to map´s quality just emphasize how to use this method, while the issue of the result´s reliability by fuzzy assessment is neglected hitherto now. Based on the assessment procedure, this paper first discusses the factors that influence the result´s reliability by fuzzy assessment. Then with the example of maps´ quality assessment, the aspects of the result´s invalidity by this method are discussed.
