Abstract
The coming era of personal communications networks (PCN) will build on IN technology. The PCN´s wireless access and mobility capabilities will spur services that will profoundly affect everyday life, and enhance telephone company revenues. Because of similarities between IN and PCN, many of the fundamental technological hurdles have already been anticipated. The authors look at the personal communications. They then discuss the target architecture for personal communications. Finally, they present the potential services and products that will appear in this high-growth market
