Abstract :
The coordination process between LEO satellite systems is examined for both forward and return links, and for different examples of access schemes. It is shown that the mobile to satellite link would suffer a minimum loss of capacity provided that techniques such as power control, frequency planning, and/or polarisation isolation, are implemented. On the other hand, the satellite to mobile link encounters more difficulties since the return link received a secondary status in the same frequency bandwidth. In this case, coordination would only be achieved with satellite antennas showing isolation levels higher than 40 dB for the sidelobes and higher than 60 dB for the backlobes
