The evolution of connectionless service support in B-ISDN

The network evolution strategy for connectionless service support in B-ISDN is described. First, an overview is given of how today´s MAN networks provide connectionless service. Subsequently the evolution of connectionless service support in an ATM based B-ISDN is highlighted. The various methods of LAN interconnection via ATM networks and finally the introduction and operation of connectionless servers in the B-ISDN are discussed
