            Abstract :
To support an enterprise to construct a virtual enterprise (VE), an agent-based construction mechanism is thus proposed in this paper. Moreover, a CORBA-based integrated platform (CBIP) is designed and implemented for achieving this mechanism by providing a service/resource navigation (search and location) path and a service/resource-sharing approach through interoperations between VE´s members regardless of their heterogeneities. The engine of the CBIP is a friend-neighbor-based service search and location algorithm, including how to model and describe service/resource, how to wrap and publish them within network environments by using CORBA, and how to search/locate and remotely access/use services. Finally, a CBIP-based prototype and VE concept system are implemented such concepts for searching services and sharing services in VE.
