Abstract
Discusses the history of Cintel from its early days in the late 1920s when it was known as Baird Television Ltd. Baird Television Ltd. went into receivership in the late 1930s. 1940 saw the start up of Cinema Television Ltd. (from which the Cintel name is derived). The evolution of this company is then discussed upto the present. Some of the landmark technological achievements are mentioned
