Abstract :
Based on the method of transient equivalent calculation circuit, influences of impulse corona on lightning transient of transmission lines are calculated numerically. According to the trapezoidal rule of integration, the circuit model of each line segment is converted into a shunt of resistance and equivalent current source. Corona phenomenon is calculated by nonlinear capacitance and conductance, whose values change with line voltages dynamically. Transient responses of transmission line are calculated by solving circuit equations. The calculated results are compared with the simulated ones and a better agreement is shown between them which confirms the validity of the proposed model.
