Abstract
This new device for non-destructive testing (NDT) is a circular array and consists of 100 strip elements. The diameter of the array is 10 mm, and the center frequency is between 3.5 and 7.5 MHz. The mathematical algorithm and monochromatic and broadband calculations of the sound field are shown. The process of manufacturing the array is discussed. Some preliminary ultrasonic pictures obtained from a simple phantom are shown
