Abstract
A new controller design method is proposed to synchronize a class of fractional-order chaotic systems. The nonlinear terms are first divided into stability-related part and stability-unrelated part. And then the stability-related nonlinear terms are absorbed by the designed controller. Controllers designed according to this method have much simpler structures than those of existing results in literature. The fractional-order hyperchaotic Chen system and the fractional-order delayed Duffing oscillator are used to illustrate the design process.
