Abstract
The current undergraduate electromagnetics (EM) engineering education process is discussed. Certain aspects of practical EM engineering (computational/experimental) are highlighted with respect to the needs of industry. The typical weights given to theory, numerical analysis, and computational electromagnetics (CEM) in undergraduate curriculums are also evaluated from the viewpoint of industry needs. The emphasis on CEM is clear; CEM is used to bringing the theory into better perspective and make it more understandable for the undergraduate studying EM. It is noted that integration of EM visualization into the classroom is possible, and the result can only enhance the student experience.<>
