Abstract
The authors present the two types of flexible insulators developed by several manufacturers, as well as the results of their experimentation in progress. They also show the gain in admissible overload provided by combined use of flexible insulators and controlled extension devices. Finally, the approach that made it possible to define criteria for installation on the lines already in place and, in certain cases, on new lines (geographical area, number, associated mechanical overload, etc.) of the anti-spinning masses is discussed
