Abstract :
This paper analyzes the influence of tire pressure and temperature anomalies, describes the importance of TPMS on traffic safety and environmental protection, and discusses our design sketch for vehicle tire pressure monitoring system integrating sensors and radio frequency transceiver. The system can automatically detect the tire pressure and temperature, and send out warning sound in real-time before the accident really happens, reminding drivers to take measures to prevent tire puncture. Further, the system function can be expanded to send a warning signal to the ABS control unit, a control signal sent by the ABS control computer to drive brake in order to achieve an automatic emergency braking function. The tests show that the system can monitor each tire´s pressure and temperature accurately and timely, and give an alarm to tire´s abnormal situation. As a result, the system can effectively prevent the occurrence of traffic accidents due to tire puncture, and thus has broad application prospects.
