Abstract :
The talk will present the projected evolution of networks and their impact on core networks. From FFTH deployment to the Internet of Things or Information Centric Networks, current trends tell us that future networks will be different from today. How this will impact optical core networks and what the role of optics will be in these networks are questions that we will try to answer.
