Abstract :
This paper proposes a discretization method for real-time simulators. Real-time simulation introducing forward Euler method include the following problems. One is simulation error caused by time step limitation, and another is delay in simulated waveforms. The proposed discretization is characterized by the sophisticated modification to the original simulation model so that the response of a real-time digital system coincides with that of a simulating analog system. The proposed discretization is applicable not only to first- and second-order systems, but also to arbitrary higher order linear systems. Finally, the real-time simulation of a third-order system demonstrates appropriateness and effectiveness of the proposed discretization.
