Abstract :
Participation factor method is often applied in weak buses ranking of static voltage stability analysis. In order to deepen the understanding of participation factor method in weak buses ranking, the equivalent expression are given, namely, the partial derivative of minimum singular value(minimum absolute eigenvalue) with respect to bus sensitivity. At the same time, The simulations on IEEE30 system shows weak buses ranking are totally the same according singular participation factor and eigen participation factor of reduced power flow Jacobian matrix, the analysis is also given by means of normality index and symmetry index.
