Abstract
Akered is a residential area in the south-west of Goteborg comprising 244 row houses and 233 linked houses. A time-of-day tariff is available for domestic customers with a consumption exceeding 10 MWh/year. The fixed annual charge is 788 SEK, independent of the size of the main fuses. All charges include energy tax and VAT. The switching between high and low prices has, up to now, been managed by an old local ripple control system. A new ripple control system is under installation which also makes centrally controlled load management possible. The present report describes the Swedish utilities´ way of thinking, their objectives, their planning, performed activities and their experiences made up to now
