Abstract :
This paper provides two stability criteria for continuous-time systems where delay is time-varying or delay is constant. For time-varying delay systems, Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional making use of all the kinds of information on delay related terms, the delay-dependent stability conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) are obtained. For constant delay systems, using new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, less conservative stability conditions are obtained for such systems. It is shown theoretically that the two new stability criteria for time-varying delay and constant delay systems presented in this paper contains less conservative compared to the existing results. Numerical examples demonstrate effectiveness of the new results.
