Abstract
This paper describes a fuzzy logic approach to the process of mutual fund selection. It argues that the fuzzy logic approach provides a novel way to analyze the investor´s profile, available mutual funds, and select an economically rational mutual fund to satisfy the investor´s situation. It discusses the design issues involved in developing a fuzzy expert system for selecting the mutual fund. A prototype system is implemented using XpertRule software
