Abstract :
In order to solve the problem of internal attacks, a monitoring based secure data aggregation approach in wireless sensor networks was proposed. A network architecture that fit for monitoring mechanism was proposed, which assigned three types of roles to the sensor nodes. A monitoring mechanism was introduced to solve problems of data distortion and data dropping caused by internal attacks. Also a "Fast-Detection-and-Slow-Recovery" algorithm FDSR was proposed to prevent on-off attacks, in which different reputation computation principles and different states of sensor nodes were utilized. A network recovery mechanism was designed. The method to elect new roles of nodes and to update grid tree was proposed. Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm can effectively detect malicious nodes and guarantee the secure data aggregation and the energy consumption is acceptable.
