Abstract :
An ion-drag pump in horizontal, axisymmetric configuration was built. The pumping section contained thirteen electrode pairs that were designed for a zero-drag coefficient and no filtering effect. Refrigerant 11 was used as a working fluid and significant pumping velocities, up to 24.02 cm/s, were obtained.<>
