Abstract :
A new lithium ion-selective sensors was design based on self plasticizing acrylic films and disposable screen printed electrode (SPE). All sensors demonstrated good response and reproducibility (R.S.D. 1.51 %, n = 4). The linear response range was 0.1 to 10-6 M and the sensitivity was almost near Nernstian, i.e. close to 56.3 ± 0.85 mV/decade (n = 4). The lithium ion-sensor from the self-plasticised film shown a detection limit of (8.2 ± 0.78) × 10-7 M. Based on the FIM method, the sensor showed little interferences from, Ca2+, and Mg2+, but not for Na+ and K+.
