Abstract :
A fundamentally modelocked Er, Yb:glass laser with a record high repetition rate of 101 GHz generates 30 mW average power in 1.1-ps pulses to be used in high-speed return-to-zero data transmission systems, WDM systems and ultra-high-speed OFDM transmitters.
