Abstract :
A displacement model based on the ridge regression (RR) was presented on the example of an arch-type dam located in China. The horizontal deformation analysis for a single point on the dam was performed. The analysis consists of collinearity diagnosing, data fitting, and deformation prediction. Compared to the principal component regression (PCR) and the stepwise regression (SR), ridge regression (RR) presented herein are more reliable and have better predictive effects.
