Abstract
The paper investigates sliding mode control for multivariable nonlinear systems. The first result concerns the obtention of a regular form. Then, discussing on the rank of the input gain matrix, the asymptotic stabilization of the origin is investigated. An example is exposed in order to illustrate the obtained results
