  • Abstract
Burrs formed on the work piece edges is a common phenomena in drilling. Burrs seriously affect the accuracy of measure and shape of the work piece. It is necessary to study the mechanism of burr formation in order to burrs controlling. A finilete element model is proposed in this paper, burr formation process is simulated and analyzed, including burr types, shear strain, strain rate and axial force. Experimental results show that the model is appropriate.
