Abstract :
The high voltage inverter is considered important and precious equipment of the power system. If a high voltage inverter is out of order, it is necessary to detect the fault as soon as possible to minimize the damage. The paper introduces a fault detection method based on the STFT of the output waveform of the high voltage inverter. The results of the monitoring and fault detection of the inverter are extremely important for in drives system. The work can be extended to other structure inverters.
