Abstract :
In this paper we have analyzed the SH elastic wave diffraction by the finite crack located at the plane interface between two perfectly welded materials rigorously. The incident field is taken as a plane wave. Introducing the Fourier transform of the scattered field and applying boundary conditions in the transform domain, the problem is formulated in the terms of the Wiener-Hopf equation. An approximate solution of such equation is proposed and numerical calculation examples for displacement patterns are also analyzed.
