Abstract :
This paper introduces the main control methods of AC motor. Using traditional slip frequency control method, the PI parameters are hard to be determined, digitization of the current-slip curve is hard to be realized and the maximum torque cannot be obtained. A maximum-torque slip frequency control method is proposed to meet the requirements of mining locomotives. Simulation and experiment shows that the novel system has stable torque control effect in the process of starting and speeding with heavy loads, the control method has the properties of fast response, saving energy more effectively and being insensitive to the speed detecting error. The properties satisfy the requirements of the project, and the application will be promoted.
