Abstract :
The plane strain of an elastic circular cylinder of infinite length rotated about its axis with a non-uniform angular velocity in an ideal compressible non-viscous fluid (gas) is studied. The spectral characteristics for the elastic displacement and stresses for the case of the Armco iron cylinder immersed in the water are analyzed.
