  • Abstract
    The results are presented of research on the possibility of increasing the light efficiency of radiation and brightness GDIP of a direct current at the expense of transition from weak current long impulsed anomalous smoulder discharge to high-current short impulse (tens and hundreds ns) discharge in xenon. Favorable conditions for development of high-current avalanches and generation of a continuum of a radiation are created. It is established, that for want of diminution of voltage pulse duration from 6 up to 03 mcs for want of constant average current and impulse voltage the brightness of a cell GDIP will increase 2.5-3 times
