Abstract
Thomson Tubes Electroniques has always been involved in all the gridded tubes fields. Based on its operational experience in accelerators, fusion devices and UHF TV transmitters, but also from extensive tests conducted with its own power testing facilities, TTE has developed a new concept of tetrode named “diacrode”. This paper presents the results obtained with these new tubes in UHF and accelerators fields and the possible extension of the concept to operate at 2 MW CW VSWR 2:1 with a diacrode dedicated to future fusion magnetic machines
