Abstract :
Designing an injection mold with 3D-CAD software is the current trend. With help of 3D-CAD software tools, the mold components become more transparent and more precise, therefore the cost of mold development can be reduced substantially by applying 3D-CAD software. In this paper, taking the design of outlet for an example, we discourse the general process of designing injection moulds as well as some techniques that could be taken during the process, which is helpful for development of injection mold in practice.
