Abstract :
Investigates the optimal location of controllers to achieve reduction of noise field in an acoustic cavity. The author first formulates a linear quadratic tracking problem in a Hilbert space, and then considers the problem of optimization of an appropriate performance criterion with respect to the location of the controls. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the author´s theoretical results
