Abstract :
The temporal dynamics of pump-probe experiments in switching devices based on high-Q cavities in GaAs 2D-photonic crystals is investigated by means of a FDTD code that fully accounts for the nonlinear response mediated by the carrier-induced dynamics. Results are shown to be in good agreement with experimental data.
