Abstract :
The authors consider the phase retrieval problem using a window function w(n). A condition is developed under which a desired signal can be defined to within a sign ambiguity from the Fourier intensities of the desired signal, the desired signal windowed by w(n), and the desired signal windowed by the window wc(n)=1-w(n). An algorithm is developed that can reconstruct the desired signal from the given information. An example that shows the performance of the algorithm and two examples that show that, for a certain type of window, two Fourier intensities may be enough for the reconstruction of a signal are presented
