Abstract

ADAPTIVE is a highly interactive and visually oriented software package for the design, analysis, and simulation of adaptive filters. Software packages such as ADAPTIVE can be used to introduce new users to adaptive filtering and develop their skills in a manner not possible with text materials alone. ADAPTIVE will also be shown to be useful to the experienced user. It is anticipated that adaptive filtering can become accessible and familiar through the use of computer-aided-engineering (CAE) tools, much in the same way that digital signal processing (DSP) has found its way into the mainstream
