Abstract :
In order to support the DW appliances´ function comprehensively and efficiently, we propose a general common information platform system (CIPS) framework, which can integrate the data from the complex, multiple dimension and heterogeneous sources. Utilizing the hierarchical tree theory, a general formal definition and knowledge description method is developed to define and descript the complex and multidimensional business data. In the definition and description of a huge and complex system, the proposed method´s key features are logical hierarchy, obvious operation relationship and knowledge description and reasoning. The main functions can to reduce the heterogeneous systems integration cost; facilitate knowledge discovery, intelligent decision support management and business intelligent; build a hierarchical CIP framework with a semantic tree hierarchy. A practical shipping and maritime integration platform system is presented to further verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed CIPS.
