Abstract :
A novel approach is proposed for narrowband interference cancellation in a chaotic code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, in which a chaotic spreading sequence is employed instead of a conventional M-sequence. The narrowband interference is modelled as an autoregressive (AR) process and the interference cancellation becomes a problem of AR model identification in the chaotic noise. A dynamic-based estimation technique, called the minimum phase space volume (MPSV), is used to estimate the AR parameters. Simulation shows that the new approach consistently outperforms the least squares method over wide range of signal-to-noise-plus-interference ratio
