Abstract
Survey adjustment is a compulsory professional core curriculum with technical importance in engineering institutes of higher learning for students majoring in surveying and mapping. Owing to rapid development and popularization of computer technology, more and more computer-assisted classroom teaching and practical teaching activities have emerged in teaching processes of professional courses in institutes of higher learning. Computer aided instruction (shortened as CAI) has revolutionized traditional instruction model and accordingly made teaching and learning processes interesting and relaxing. It also helps to enlarge the scope of students´ knowledge, increase students´ learning efficiency and improve teaching effect and quality enormously. This paper discusses teaching content system of survey adjustment course and puts emphasis on its CAI methods and means. The final purpose of this paper is to improve the course´s teaching effect and quality, and help students to lay firm foundation for studies of subsequent professional courses in order that they can handle concrete engineering problems with the aid of theoretic knowledge and basic approaches of survey adjustment course.
