Abstract :
Cable-stayed bridge with low towers, a new type of composite bridge system, has undergone rapid developed in Japan since the 1990s. Owing to its unique mechanical characteristics and benefits such as economy, beauty, high stiffness and convenience in construction, the cable stayed bridge with low towers has become one of the common bridge types. For the future, with the development of new materials and technology in the bridge engineering, it must play an important role in economic development.
