Abstract
This paper presents the application of ANN for adaptive speed and current control of a DC drive system fed from single-phase AC-DC converter. Two ANNs have been used to act as two PI controllers in order to set the reference values of the motor armature current and voltage. The overall system is simulated using Matlab and its response is presented
