Abstract :
This paper presents experimental investigations on hydrogenerator endwinding vibrations and temperatures. In steady-state operation, links between machine load, winding mechanical characteristics, and temperature are discussed. Viscoelastic properties of coil composite sections are proved. Under transient operation (starting, stop) time frequency analysis is applied to detect machine natural frequencies
