Abstract :
Based on wavelet analysis of traveling wave protection of ultra-high voltage transmission line, decouple the current and voltage signals of fault traveling wave using the novel phase-mode transformation matrix, and comparing with the simulation results using common phase-mode transformation matrix, analysis of examples show that the algorithm in the traveling wave protection has a high application value. The increase of the network voltage put forward higher request on relay protection and circuit breaker movement. In order to the changing trend, relay protection operation will be conducted in time domain, and instead of symmetrical component transformation phase mode transformation will be the development trend, and the phase mode transformation matrix that can reflect all fault type in power system protection will has a broad prospect of application.
