Abstract :
A self-organizing neural network with a neighborhood in a high-dimensional space is introduced. A convergence result for its learning algorithm is given. This result is not only valid for the network with a high-dimensional lattice neighborhood but also for the one with the neighborhood on a two-dimensional hexagon array
