Abstract :
We develop a new data driven shape prior for use in image segmentation. This prior is designed to penalize the differences between the distributions of contour features obtained from training data shapes and those of a segmenting curve. We incorporate this prior into a level set segmentation framework and present an efficient method for its implementation.
