Abstract :
The use of the Internet, as a resource in language teaching is rapidly expanding, and has opened up exciting approaches to developing collaborative communication skills in a foreign or second language. One of these approaches is the Second Life This paper analyses existing researches from the perspectives of logic, discipline, theoretical explanation and problems in Second Life, presents a case study on the use of Second Life in teaching and learning and concludes by listing the innovative potentials of Second Life in the EFL/ESL classroom and teacher training.
