Abstract :
This paper presents a single-phase DC motor drive system fed from full-bridge DC-DC power converter controlled by a sinusoidal pulse-width modulation and offers a high quality AC side current waveform. Two methods of control are presented such that the DC motor drive system may have bipolar or unipolar sinusoidally modulated voltage. Circuit simulation is carried out where the converter modes of operation and AC current harmonic spectra are presented
