Abstract :
How to select the optimum mechanism from many feasible ones is the important stage at design process due to conceptual design usually with the process of design-evaluation-redesign. Hierarchy grey relational analysis is developed because of the evaluation indexes system with the characteristic of hierarchy for mechanism scheme. As a example, the analytic method is used to the selection of shear mechanism in flying shear machine, resulting in selecting the eccentric tilting shear mechanism as the optimum one.
